FAQ

Home internet questions, answered like a human

Everything people usually ask before ordering. If your question isn't here, the phone works even better — press 1 and ask a person.

“No question is too basic — we answer these all day, happily.”
Do your internet plans require a contract?

Many plans we sell have no-contract options, and 5G home internet plans are typically month-to-month. When a plan does include a term agreement, we tell you before you order, along with the early-termination terms in plain English.

What internet speed do I need for my household?

Around 100 Mbps comfortably covers streaming, browsing, and video calls for 1–3 people. Busy households with multiple 4K streams and remote work are happier at 300–500 Mbps. Gamers, creators, and large families should look at gig speeds. On your call we ask how you actually use the internet and right-size the plan — not upsell it.

How long does installation take?

Self-install equipment (common with 5G home internet and some cable plans) usually has you online within days of delivery. Professional installations are typically scheduled within about a week, depending on your area and the network. You'll get the realistic timeline for your address on the call.

Is the price you quote really the full price?

Yes — that's the point of us. On the call we quote the plan price plus equipment and estimated taxes, and we tell you what the price becomes if a promotional period ends. The goal is zero surprises on bill one, and on bill thirteen.

Do the plans have data caps?

It depends on the plan and network serving your address. Unlimited-data options exist at most addresses, and if a cheaper plan carries a cap, we'll tell you the number and what happens if you pass it — before you decide.

What's the best internet option for rural addresses?

Rural availability varies more than anywhere else, which is why we check your exact address rather than your ZIP code. 5G home internet has become the breakthrough option for many rural homes — simple self-install, no phone line or cable run required. Where it isn't strong yet, we'll tell you honestly what is.

I'm moving — can you set up internet at my new place?

Yes, and calling before you move is the pro move. We check the new address, schedule installation around your move-in date, and help you avoid paying for overlapping service longer than needed.

Can you help me switch providers without downtime?

Yes. The sequence is: install the new service, confirm it works, then cancel the old one. We plan that overlap with you on the call, including equipment returns, so you're never offline in between.

I'm already a customer — how do I get support?

Call the same number and press 2 for the support team, or visit our customer support page for billing, equipment, and outage help. New-service questions and support questions go to different teams, so everyone gets a faster answer.
